The Short Version

We collect your email when you join our waitlist. We'll use it to send you TestFlight invites when our beta opens. That's it. No tracking, no spam, no selling your data.

What We Collect (And Why)

For the Waitlist

We collect:

  • Your email address
  • The date you signed up
  • Where you signed up from (e.g., "landing page")

We use it for:

  • Sending you TestFlight beta invites
  • Letting you know when DeepCut launches
  • Nothing else

We don't collect:

  • Your browsing history
  • Device fingerprints
  • Location data
  • Anything besides your email

When the App Launches

We'll update this policy before TestFlight beta. The app will collect additional data (your vinyl collection, ratings, etc.) to make it work. We'll be transparent about that when the time comes.

For now, we're just collecting emails. Simple.

How We Protect Your Data

  • HTTPS everywhere — Your email is encrypted in transit
  • Secure database — Stored in a password-protected PostgreSQL database
  • No public access — Only DeepCut team can see the waitlist
  • No tracking scripts — This website has zero analytics, ads, or tracking
  • Rate limiting — We block spam/abuse attempts

We take security seriously. If there's ever a data breach (knock on wood), we'll email you immediately.

Who We Share Data With

Third parties we use:

  • Neon — Database hosting (PostgreSQL)
  • Railway — Backend hosting
  • Mailgun — Email delivery (for sending you invites)

All of these services are GDPR-compliant and don't use your data for anything else.

We will NEVER:

  • Sell your email to advertisers
  • Share it with other apps
  • Send you spam

How Long We Keep It

While you're on the waitlist:

We keep your email until you unsubscribe OR 12 months after the app launches.

After you join the app:

Your email becomes part of your account. We'll keep it until you delete your account.

If you never join:

We'll delete your email 12 months after beta launch. No hard feelings!

Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • See your data — Email us and we'll tell you what we have
  • Delete your data — Unsubscribe link in every email, or email us
  • Export your data — We'll send you everything (it's just your email though)
  • Correct mistakes — Wrong email? Let us know

To exercise these rights:
Email support@getdeepcut.app with your request.

We'll respond within 30 days (usually much faster).

Unsubscribe

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

Or email us at support@getdeepcut.app and we'll remove you immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll:

  1. Post the new version at getdeepcut.app/privacy
  2. Update the "Last updated" date at the top
  3. Email you if the changes are significant (like collecting new data)

For now, this policy only covers the waitlist. We'll publish a full privacy policy before the beta launches.
